Yes, Swine Flu has invaded our house. Thing One is in quarantine, but of course yesterday when she came home with symptoms she was all over the stinkin' house. Off I go to disinfect...well...EVERYTHING.
BLECH. Poor Thing One. She'll have Swine Flu for her birthday. :-(

We've had it the past two weeks. Waiting on daughter number 3 to come down with it. The first two girls showed symptoms 3 days apart. The worst of it was the fever but I have to say that the seasonal flu we all had last year was worse. Anyway, sorry to read it has invaded your home and I hope it stays mild for the kids (and you)
Thanks, Lee Anne! At least I know I'm not the only mother going through this!
Oh gaw. I hope she makes it through it okay. There have been about 10 deaths here in TX from Swine Flu. I'll be thinking about all of you!!
Oh and I should add - those who died from the Swine Flu had other "underlying" illnesses which I take to mean they were already in failing health before they got the flu. Since you have an active, healthy daughter most of the time, I think she'll be okay. But STILL. It's scary! I've been telling mine constantly to wash his hands with soap and keep them out of his face.
The dr said to just keep her comfortable and her fever managed--and keep her away from siblings. Apparently she will be fine unless she develops respiratory problems...then I am supposed to worry...and get her back to the Dr.
So...what makes Swine Flu different from regular seasonal flu? I don't get it.
Thoughts are with you and the family, Lara doll.
Oh no! I hope it's a mild dose!
