OH NO THEY DIDN'T...

Well, Greedy Warner Brothers is at it again. Remember how "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince" was scheduled for a November 2008 release?

They've moved the release date. Harry Potter and the HBP won't be in Theatres until...wait for it...

JULY 2009.

WTH??? Their reasoning? They feel it will make more money as a summer blockbuster than a holiday release. Yep, it's all about the money. I get it, but I don't like it. The movie is in freaking POST production! The trailers are in theatres already!

So, instead of waiting three months, we get to wait an ENTIRE YEAR now, before it comes out.

Bad move, Warner Brothers. You're going to upset lots of people, if you haven't already...

I don't know much about this stuff, but I personally think a holiday release would be better??

And, if this is the case, why didn't they plan better?? SHEESH! I hate when people do stuff like this. They don't think things through and then change everything and it effects others, ya know??

MAN! I am SO sad about this:(

They don't care if they upset people, because everyone will go see the movie anyway.

Remember, studios do not care about the audience. Ever. They only want the contents of the wallet.

The only people who care about the audience are those who make the movies, on the creative level, not those who put up the money.

Let's face it, they know no one will boycott them.

Sadly, Devon, you're exactly right. It's just damned inconvenient for IMPATIENT people, like me!!! ;-)

Which is too bad, because the Potter movies are getting so dark, they DEFINITELY have the feel of a winter release.

OTOH, it will be nice to have something to take the kids to next summer. This summer was slim pickin's on the family movie front.

It is unfair to make the fans wait -- especially when many of those fans are kids.
